Compare Torq with ReliaQuest
On this page
Torq and ReliaQuest both promise agentic AI for security operations, but they sell it in different ways. Torq is software a team builds on, while ReliaQuest pairs its platform with managed services for many customers.
Torq in brief
Torq started as a no-code hyperautomation company and now positions itself as an AI SOC platform. Its orchestrator, Socrates, coordinates specialized agents called HyperAgents across triage, investigation, case management, and remediation, and can build workflows from natural-language requests.
ReliaQuest in brief
ReliaQuest, based in Tampa, Florida, offers GreyMatter, an agentic AI security operations platform that connects to existing tools across cloud, multi-cloud, and on-premises environments. In July 2025 it launched GreyMatter Agentic Teammates, role-based AI personas covering SOC functions such as threat hunting.

| Strength | Workflow execution and customization | Breadth of integrations and service support |
| Best fit | Teams with automation skills | Enterprises wanting a platform and a partner |
Key differences that matter
Torq rewards teams that like to design their own processes, since much of its value comes from automations built around the business. ReliaQuest suits organizations that want a vendor sharing the operational load.
The real question is how much of the SOC you want to run in house, and how much engineering time you have to tune it.
Where Exaforce fits alongside Torq and ReliaQuest
Exaforce sits between the two models. Teams can run its agentic SOC platform themselves or use Exaforce MDR, both on the same foundation. Its AI agents, called Exabots, reason over a structured model of identities, resources, and behavior, so investigations depend less on hand-built playbooks.
