AI SOC Platform Comparison

On this page

The AI security operations center (SOC) market has grown quickly, and many products now share the same label while doing very different jobs. Some add a chat assistant to an existing console, while others run full investigations and take response actions. A useful comparison starts with knowing which category each product falls into.

Three types of AI SOC platform

AI copilots sit on top of an existing security information and event management (SIEM) tool and help analysts write queries, summarize alerts, and draft reports. They speed up individual tasks, but the analyst still drives every investigation.

AI SOC analysts focus on Tier 1 work. They pick up alerts from existing tools, gather context, and return a verdict, which takes pressure off the queue without changing the underlying stack.

Agentic SOC platforms cover the full lifecycle from detection through triage, investigation, and response, often with their own data layer. They can replace parts of the SIEM, SOAR automation, and MDR stack instead of adding another tool to it.

Criteria worth comparing

Look first at how the AI reasons. Platforms that rely only on a large language model (LLM) reading raw logs can give different answers to the same alert on different runs. Those that build a model of identities, resources, and normal behavior first tend to produce verdicts analysts can audit.

Coverage comes next. Check support for identity, cloud infrastructure, SaaS, endpoint, and email, since many modern attacks begin well away from the endpoint. Then compare how much of each investigation the platform finishes on its own, and where human approval is required before a response action runs.

Where Exaforce fits in an AI SOC platform comparison

Exaforce sits in the agentic category. Task-specific AI agents called Exabots handle detection, triage, investigation, response, and hunting, working from a Multi-Model AI engine that combines semantic, behavioral, and knowledge models. Analysts keep oversight of the decisions that need human judgment.

Running a fair comparison

Feature lists blur together quickly, so test with evidence. Give each shortlisted platform the same few weeks of real alerts from your environment.

Measure how many alerts still reach an analyst, how long each one takes to close, and how clearly the platform explains its reasoning. Those results will separate the categories far more reliably than any vendor datasheet.
